Are we seeds of God or seeds of the world?

When I was born, my heart carried the seed of the world, the seed of sin, lies, deceit, drunkenness, etc. and many others. I didn't understand to the point of reaching a day at such a desperate moment in my life that I only wanted to make a radical decision and it was to take my own life.

Fortunately, someone shared with me about an encounter with the cross and it was there that I began to identify what seeds I had in me. I will tell you a little about some of them:

  • One seed fell in my heart (field), this led me to see the delights of life as something that met my need; but in reality it only brought me more pain, loneliness, sin, sadness, frustration, etc.

  • Another fell in my mind (by the side of the road) and bore fruit of doubt, religiosity, lack of understanding and when I least thought I had a hardened heart; that's why when a bad circumstance came, I didn't believe in God. Although those around me made comments to me to get closer to my Father God, I didn't believe in him, I saw everything bad, I always had my heart closed to receiving the good that God had for me.

  • Another fell in my soul when I got a great job (among thorns), since I believed that money was everything, that helped me to move away from God more, to have self-sufficiency, pride, vanity, in short, many negative things that made me see God very far away and without needing him.

These three examples were how those seeds of the world bore fruit in me in a way that did not help me to advance, but rather destroyed my life.

When they shared Christ with me, and told me everything He had done for me on the cross, how His love could bring me true freedom, physical and spiritual healing (and much more), at that moment I could recognize that I had incorrect seeds and that I had to change them for a great seed that would bear good fruit. I could understand how to start a new life in God, with principles, values, with love; where little by little, I could with my attitudes and example bring good seeds to my family, to my friends, and to everyone around me.

Today is the time for you to also have the right seeds, and you can put seeds in others so that they can give life to others, and to others and so on.

"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit." John 12:24 NLT

Know God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, in all their fullness. You will not regret it, and you will say: "Wow, I've been missing out on all of this!"
