Wisdom

Wisdom

All of humanity yearns to have wisdom. Wisdom is not the same as intelligence; there have been many highly intelligent beings with very high IQs, but lacking in wisdom. There are other very wise beings with very low or scarce IQs. It is said that a wise person is one who applies what they know (knowledge).

This is from a humanistic, rational, or intellectual point of view, but from a spiritual point of view, wisdom is the very Spirit of God (Isaiah 11:2).

Proverbs 8:22-26, 29-31 NLT [22] "The LORD formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else. [23] I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. [24] I was born before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their waters. [25] Before the mountains were formed, before the hills, I was born— [26] before he had made the earth and fields and the first handfuls of soil. [29] I was there when he set the limits of the seas, so they would not spread beyond their boundaries. And when he marked off the earth’s foundations, [30] I was the architect at his side. I was his constant delight, rejoicing always in his presence. [31] And how happy I was with the world he created; how I rejoiced with the human family!

This Bible passage refers to wisdom. If we add Isaiah 11:2 to this passage:

"The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him: the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and power, the Spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD.” Isaiah 11:2 NLT

It refers to the Spirit of God resting on Jesus, and one of those Spirits will be the Spirit of Wisdom. Absolutely everything exists because of wisdom. Wisdom was present when God made the heavens and the earth. When He created human beings. You and I exist because of God's Wisdom.

Without Wisdom, you are nothing. In fact, it is impossible to do anything without wisdom. God's life in humans is defined by Wisdom and is manifested in love. Remember that King Solomon did not ask for riches; nor many years of life; but he asked God for wisdom to govern Israel. God granted Solomon's request, and he was the wisest king in history. Wisdom comes from God.

Therefore, everything God created for you to be, to enjoy, to accomplish, and to delight in is determined by wisdom, His Wisdom. Without it, you cannot enjoy anything your Heavenly Father has established for you. Most of humanity lives without wisdom; that is why they do not have an abundant life, a full life, the eternal life He gave us.

Therefore, I invite you today to ask God directly for wisdom so that things go well for you in life.
